Een klein huis omgeven door bomen voor een gezin van 4 personen heeft licht nodig. Daarom ben ik gaan werken met lichte materialen in combinatie met warme texturen. Het meest opvallende materiaal is uiteraard de terrazzo ontworpen door Max Lamb genaamd Marmoreal. Een materiaal met grote steenvlakken in prachtige kleuren.(zie dzekdzekdzek.com) Deze ben ik gaan combineren met licht eiken hout en 3 velvet stoffen voor zachte accenten in de woning. Deze stoffen hebben de kleuren die voorkomen in de terrazzo. 

Omdat de keuken de meest gebruikte ruimte is bij een gezin, heb ik ervoor gezorgd dat hier het meeste licht wordt geconcentreerd door te werken met witte tinten.

A small house surrounded by trees for a family of 4 persons will need light. That is why I have used light materials in combination with warm textures. The most striking material is of course the terrazzo designed by Max Lamb named Marmoreal. A material with large stone surfaces in beautiful colors. (see dzekdzekdzek.com) I combined this with light oak and 3 velvet fabrics to create soft accents throughout the house. These fabrics are in the colors that occur in the terrazzo.

Because the kitchen is the most used space for a family, I provided that the light is going to be concentrated on this room by adding white shades.
